I am a completely self-taught baker, but baking runs in my blood. I like to think outside the box when it comes to my recipies, and I am constantly testing, myself with new recipes. I have an innovative style which keeps my customers lining up for more!!! I've always baked, and made things here and there but my business did not really begin until December of 2010 and right from the beginning, Sweet Surprises has taken the Philadelphia area by storm with its delicious dessert recipes and one of a kind cupcake and cake designs. For the longest time I never had a name for my business, it was not until I became friends with another young lady whose also in the baking industry here in Philadelphia Maryam Hassan (Aunt Sweetie's Creation..Check her out she is GREAT!!! Also one of my favorite critics! I stay texting her lol!!!), she and I were discussing our business and I told her about my name struggle and sent her a list of possibles and in return she asked me what about Sweet Surprises and I fell in love! My encourgment to really drive me into turning my passion in to a business is my life time friend Jac'ques Bydia. She is really the first person who pushed me into this and without them two I wouldn't have a business or a name!!! I personally thank the two of you (Maryam and Jac'ques)! But always remember when you choose Sweet Surprises, you can expect excellence, great quality, fresh ingredients, professionalism, and superb customer service!!! YUM!
